Music

Scholars at Basie have access to a wide variety of music! We offer band, guitar, electronic composition, and drumline. All 6th graders learn a band instrument, regardless of their music background. Students perform at concerts and other community events. Students learn the fundamentals of performance, vocabulary to describe musical concepts, and music literacy.
