Greetings Basie Families, The Catherine and Count Basie Magnet School of Multimedia and Performing Arts PTA welcomes all parents, guardians and staff to actively participate and support our growing team. Parents play a vital role in the success of our children. We implore you to join our monthly meetings every 3rd Monday of the month at 6pm and contribute your ideas on ways to improve our children’s middle school school journey. We look forward to your continued support and to building bonds within our school community. What we do We Volunteer to provide the additional support that allows special events and trips to happen that bring parents and teachers together. We Raise Money to support enrichment programs for students and trainings for teachers which are not covered by the school’s budget. We come together as Advocates for our children and the school so that we can be heard as one strong voice when working to meet our children’s needs. Why Participate In Our PTA

Look out for Meeting links which are sent via email from Ms Pierre (Parent Coordinator), and the PTA Email Address 28Q072PA@schools.nyc.gov Ways to Donate Send Zelle payments to 28Q072PA@Schools.nyc.gov Make Checks payable to The Catherine and Count Basie Magnet School of Multimedia and Performing Arts PTA Cash-Place cash in an envelope and write your child’s name and grade and put “Donation for The Catherine and Count Basie Magnet School of Multimedia and Performing Arts PTA” and give to your teacher who will give to the Parent Coordinator. We will provide receipts for all cash and check donations.
